iPhone Feedback
| I have had my iPhone for almost a month now. Below is the summarization of the good points and bad points of my first true smart phone. The good points: with an embedded GPS) much better than any other mobile device. The bad points (rough edges my liking) (temporarily corrected by power-cycling the unit) (although you can attach the pictures in an email). Without question, I think Apple has made a step in the correct direction with this new phone, despite the obvious shortcomings. Coming soon: some of my favorite iPhone links... | ![]() |

The photos can be synced (I don't know why it isn't automatic when you plug it in.
)
After your iTunes is done syncing -- leave the iPhone USB attached to your computer. Then open up iPhoto and you will see the phone listed as an attached device.
Then sync just like any other digital camera.
The most important thing about syncing this way is that if you send your photos via email the iPhone autoscales them down to 640x480 (ick!)...if you sync them to iPhoto and then export them as .jpgs they are 1600x1400...so getting your pictures (eventually, you can still certainly enjoy the immediacy of emailing the pictures the second you take them) archived in this manner is a must even if you have pulled them off via email.
...oh, as far as notes...yeah, that sucks...the only way people have mentioned being able to back them up is to "email them to yourself" ...bleck. That has to get fixed.

Thanks for the correction on the Photos!
(Hopefully the notes issue will get fixed in Update 1.1.2?
