3G iPhones on the Way?

According to MacNN, Apple has signed a seven year deal with Interdigital for wireless equipment in future iPhones. Since Interdigital has been involved with every mobile wireless technology including 3G, many analysts believe that this will pave the way for the future 3G iPhone.
