iTunes 7.4.1 Released

| iTunes 7.4.1 has been released. It looks like the sole reason for this release is to plug the hole in the software that allowed you to set up your own ringtones by simply renaming the extension on a chosen .mp3 or .aac file. While Engadget claims that the ringtone hack still works for them, for many users (myself included), this hole appears to be closed. Incidently, I hear reports that iToner still works fine with this iTunes update. Update (9/08/07): It seems that ringtones hack will still work, with just a slight modification, that is rename any .m4r file to .m4a and you will again be able to sync the new ringtones to your iPhone. | ![]() |
