| The big news out of the Apple's Keynote speech today (besides the newly announced iPodTouch), is the $200 price drop on the 8GB iPhone (not to mention the discontinuation of the 4GB model). And for us poor saps who plopped down the $600 just recently on the shiny iPhone? I was able to call the Apple retail store where I had purchased the iPhone and successfully ask for a price match (since I was just 6 days outside the 14 day return period) as did several of my co-workers, however, it seems that quite a few users are out of luck. Update (9/06/07): Well, it looks like Steve Jobs is going to do the correct thing and soothe his early adopter customer base by offering a $100.00 credit to all current iPhone users (I like paragraphs 4 and 5 of this open letter). Update (9/14/07): Here is the official guide for the $100 Apple iPhone rebate. | ![]() |
