Google Desktop: Critical Flaw Patched

| The Register reports that a critical flaw in Google Desktop has been patched. A failure in Google Desktop to "properly encode output containing malicious or unexpected characters" which could potentially enable hostile JavaScript code to be used to control Google Desktop and thus peruse through user's personal computer files. Evidently, there is no evidence the vulnerability has been exploited. | ![]() |
