HDTV Finally In-House

I finally broke down and procured my cable provider's HDTV DVR box (a Motorola DCT 3412 w/ 120 GB hard drive). I wanted to try out HDTV during the upcoming Winter Olympics as well as play around with a DVR before the 2006 World Cup. (One thing that is immediately noticable is that there doesn't seem to be a plethora of HDTV programming at the moment :-( , but the little bit of programming that is available looks very nice - I am looking forward to seeing the Grammy Awards in HDTV with a decent soundsystem :-) ).

If all goes well on the DVR side, it might provide the motivation I need to build my own MythTV box. :-)
