Even though I purchased a new Blu-Ray DVD player this past weekend, I still took in the movie Into The Wild this weekend. The Alaskan scenery shots were spectacular and the film was well done, but I had a hard time empathizing with the main character's reasons for cutting off his family and disappearing on a essentially a walkabout, but his interactions with the various characters he encounters are engaging.
I have heard reviews that the book by Jon Krakuer is actually better than the movie, so I'll have to give that a read. | |
