Joost Application
Thanks to my co-worker, I got an invite to try out Joost. It is streaming TV application, which has a variety of free channels that you can choose from (including soccer, of course  ). It is in beta right now, so you do need an invite in order to download the application. |  |

New Belkin SD Card Reader
| One of the things that I miss about my old Dell is the built-in SD card reader. It was very handy to be able to shoot pictures and then immediately pop the card into the laptop and view/edit them. So I finally plopped down the money and purchased the Belkin Multimedia Reader for the ExpressCard34 slot. Not surprisingly, I have been very happy with the way it works, snappy fast. In fact, in general, I have been pleased with Mac OSX's USB, Bluetooth and Expresscard integration. Devices attached to those ports (i.e. USB mouse) work instantly, without the slight initial lag time that I had been used to in WindowsXP. | |

Leopard Delayed Until October

Microsoft to drop DRM from Zune store
| Microsoft has announced that it will be dropping DRM from some of it's songs in the Zune music store. This announcement, not surprisingly, followed on the heels of the Apple announcement to sell the entire EMI catalog DRM-free in it's iTunes music store. The implication of the Microsoft announcement is that the DRM-free songs wouldn't be just limited to the EMI catalog. We'll see.... |  |
